The Villa is at the more exclusive and significantly more scenic northern end of the Costa Blanca - the Marina Alta. A very important distinction.

Alcalali is a small village inland from the coast. There are many restaurants in the area along with bars and other facilities. In nearby Jalon there is a large supermarket and more restaurants and bars. Inland the atmosphere is a lot more authentic and it is a lot less crowded than the coast.

The northern Costa Blanca is more mountainous and rugged than further south. It has several large resorts but it's possible to drive inland and find local restaurants, bodegas and bars that are unspoilt, with a more local atmosphere.

Alcalali a little quieter than had hoped therefore a 3 km drive to Jalon for more variety of shops cafes, restruants

Small village with good bars and restaurants, the town of Jalon a few kilometres further away has everything you need. Check out Susana y Francisco's art shop on C/La Virgen 62, Jalon - lovely works and gifts.

Calpe has the best beaches and is a great town, though there are lots of smaller beaches heading north towards Moraira And Javea
