The property is perfectly situated to explore the whole region – we are 5 minutes from beautiful Lake Banyoles, 15 minutes from the medieval town of Besalu, 25 minutes from the historic centre of Girona and 35 minutes to Dali´s Museum in Figueres. The beautiful beaches of Costa Brava are just 40 minutes away and the centre of Barcelona you can reach in less than one hour and a half by car or by train.
Local leisure: restaurants, cafés, pubs, markets, small shops, winery tours, beautiful churches and monasteries, museums, national parks, caves and many more.

What a relaxing, beautiful place! We feel so, so lucky to have discovered it. It was just what we hoped for. Everyone was extremely comfortable and the children loved having the run of the property. Thanks so much to Ces and Natalya for their hospitality and all the nice little touches they provided to make the stay a memorable and easy one. They were never too busy to help us with one thing or another, and Ces was very gentle and calm with the children around the horses, which was really a thrill for them.
We have rented several houses over the years and have never had such a completely positive experience. We also love the new place and were very appreciative that Ces took the time to show us around the stunning house and tell us the story of San Bartomeu. I think you have some special spirits living in that place--we felt them, anyway, and felt truly blessed to be there.
In any case, we hope that we will be making a return visit in the future.

We would like to share our wonderful experience in Can Pau. We stayed there for one week in the end of August. We wish we could stay longer. The setting is magnificent, the house is very comfortable (especially the king-size beds), the swimming-pool and the gardens are very well-kept and beautiful.
