Costa del Sol is a fantastic area with endless possibilities for activities. Whether you'll be at the beach or pool and soak up the sun, or you'll be more active and see the sights or develop sports, culture or shopping look.
Eg. you can visit the caves at Nerja, approx. 20 km east, it is a fantastic sight.
If you like museums can recommend the Picasso Museum in Malaga, approx. 30 km.
Also the old Moorish palace Alhambra in Granada is worth a visit, approx. 115 km.
If there is anyone in the family who wants more than splash in the swimming pool,there is a water park only 3.5 km away.
There are also other active sports opportunities such as diving, horse riding, golf, and gocarting.

Or what about lying on the beach in the morning and ski in the afternoon?
If you want to do a day trip, you can go to the last European colony, Gibraltar, a duty free area which is also famous for Europes only wild living monkeys. approx. 175 km.
We recommend you take a Rocktour with Gibraltar Taxi, it's an experience.
Then of course there is also the local markets where it is possible to find a market every weekday.
Take a ride in the mountains and see the beautiful Lake Viñuela, water reservoir for Velez Malaga / Torre del Mar area.
Or take a ride to Cómpeta, one of the famous white villages. A trip on approx. 50 km, which goes up through the mountains from Algarrobo Pueblo to Cómpeta with lovely views to the harsh Spanish nature, and ends at the beautiful coastal road from Torrox Costa to Caleta de Velez. Take a packed lunch with you, and enjoy the view from one of the stoppings.
This is just a small sample of the many options available on the Costa del Sol.
