Villa San Cristobal is a huge 5 bed roomed luxury Cortijo sleeping 10. Set amongst the olive groves of Poniente of Granada, this private villa once the village school has been transformed into a luxurious holiday home with pool and gardens which marries the old charm of rustic Andalucia with the modern ease of fully fitted kitchen, WiFi and central heating and games. The old part of the house still retains its traditional Andalucian beams and structure, whilst the new part has been seamlessly integratated to create a traditional feel throughout.
Situated in the centre of the Andalucian olive belt, its a perfect base for trips out to the coast, Seville, Granada with its Alhambra and Cordoba and the Coast. Alternatively you can lounge by the pool for the day and maybe nip out to one of the local villages for a leisurely lunch.
The local area still retains its culture and heritage and is one of the few places left in Spain where tapas are served free with every drink. The local food runs from home cooked meals to 5 star decadence. If you would prefer to feast in style at home, we can arrange a local Spanish restaurant to cater for you. They do a magnificent Paella!
There are many archaeological sites and white villages, along with one of the best preserved Roman Villas outside of Italy. Nature watchers wont miss out either with many local sites playing host to rarely seen animals and birds.
Other activities run from leisurely beauty treatments to golf, fishing, water parks and out and out fun quad biking or horse trekking. Loja also has many top grade climbs on the Sierra Loja. All of these can be arranged when you arrive.
If travelling with children rest assured that our home is child friendly. We know difficult it travelling with children and more importantly their stuff! Thats why you can leave it at home as we provide: Many baby and child toys, on request sterilisers, baby monitor, cots, baby backpack, changing mat, bath and high chairs. Theres also a games console, kids games and swing ball for the rest of the family.
When renting in summer months the spacious interior has marble floors throughout and high ceilings to keep you cool. For the winter there is central heating and double glazing to keep you warm as toast.
The villa is surrounded by olive groves and farmland. The house has a Landscaped garden, swing ball, BBQ. If you need to cool off, walk down through the landscaped gardens and dive into the beautiful new pool or relax on one of the many terraces and enjoy unrivalled views down the valley to where Malaga, Cordoba and Granada meet.
The area still retains its sleepy Spanish feel and expect a warm reception from the locals and us. We are well established having lived and provided holiday accommodation here for the last 6 years. Have a look at what some of our past guests have said about staying with us:

"Just wanted to say a big thank you for our stay in Villa San Cristobal and generally rave about our time had a fantastic stay in the villa-for me it was the perfect combination of modern and rustic style with loads of special really loved the original art work!
The views are to die for and many a bottle of wine was enjoyed watching the sunset from the terraces. Our favourite thing was the fab secluded pool among the olives groves! It was like swimming on top of the world!
It was great to have all the mod cons to make the holiday go smoothly, wifi still have such a unique, tranquil setting.
We really loved the location and managed to get to Granada and Cordoba with no owner's local knowledge was vast and helped us make the most of the local fiestas and sights- of which there are too many to mention!!!
Staying in this villa was a real treat for the soul and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! We will definitely return."

"Superb quality accommodation, marvellous views and all the peace and
tranquillity you could ask for. Made to feel very welcome by the owners.
Wonderful light in the rooms, a sense of space and calm everywhere - even in
the patios and other outside areas.
Tastefully decorated with lots of extras to entertain ourselves with during the
balmy evenings - when we werent either in the spacious pool or hiking over
the surrounding hills and forests.
All in all, one of our best breaks ever in Spain, and the Loja area was
fascinating. We will have to return and explore more of this undiscovered
treasure!"
