Antonia and Paul welcome you in Spanish, English or Italian. We live year round in the village and we are always available to help with tips, information and general advise.
We are situated in the small secluded medieval village of Aragosa, with a total population of 14. The village is placed at the entrance to the Parque Natural del Rio Dulce.
If you are looking for that relaxing holiday away from the crowds and seeking peace, quiet and privacy, with maybe a little bit of touring, cycling, hiking or walking, these area will fascinate you.
The views from Casa Río Dulce- are spectacular, birdwatching even from the bedroom windows. For trail walking lovers there are over 15 easy nature walking trails to choose from (maps and detailed information available) . At only 15 kms away, we have the beautiful medieval town of Sigüenza. Here you will find many shops, restaurants, tapas bars, cafes and all the amenities of a small town, including the main area medical center.
We are located at the cross road of the historical "Ruta del Cid", "La ruta de Don Quijote", "La ruta de la Lana" (the wool route), old Roman roads and Archeological Prehistorial sites of Ambrona.
We have fully equipped our properties to make your stay as comfortable as possible: central heating and wood burners for that cosy feeling in winter and with overhead fans for the summer.
All the properties are new builds and are styled in a clean and modern Spanish theme. For that finishing touch, Antonia has added much of her art work to give you that cosy and homely feel.

THE PROPERTIES - Spa y Casa Rural Rio Dulce (7 units), in the village of ARAGOSA:

* APARTMENT CARMESI I - sleeps 2-3 people: it has got livingroom-kitchen, master bedroom and shower-bathroom. TV-dvd, sofa-bed,central heating and wood burner (ECOfriendly) for the winter and an overhead fan for the summer.
* APARTMENT CARMESI II - sleeps 2-3 people: it is a loft livingroom-kitchen- master bedroom and shower-bathroom. TV-dvd, sofa-bed,central heating and wood burner (ECOfriendly) for the winter and an overhead fan for the summer.
* APARTMENT LALIBELA I - sleeps 2-3 people: it is a loft livingroom-kitchen- master bedroom and shower-bathroom. TV-dvd, sofa-bed,central heating and wood burner (ECOfriendly) for the winter and an overhead fan for the summer.

* CASA RIO DULCE - sleeps 6-8 people:
in two level. The ground floor has got the livingroom with TV-dvd and fireplace, 1 sofa + 1 sofa-bed, central heating for that cosy feeling in winter and an overhead fan for the summer. On the first level there are 3 bedrooms (1 masterbed + 3 full size beds) and a full bathroom with shower-tub.

* Spanish Paella can be ordered every day at the local family run restaurant (Home made, delicious!)

ARAGOSA, is a fascinating, quiet village. The most autstanding building is a Romanesque 12th century church which overlooks and protects the village from above. At the entrance of the village there is a natural water spring and a typical old Spanish village clothes washing area.
Children´s playground facilities and picnic area are located at each end of the village by the river side.
* The village festivities are held on August 14 and 15th of each year. Music and dancing until 5 am.
The SPA - Next to the house, but independent, is EL BALCON DEL RELAX , a beautiful private room with SAUNA, JACUZZI and woodburner. From the jacuzzi you can enjoy a spectacular views of the Rio Dulce canyon. Here you can relax and enjoy the benefits of our health spa and aromatherapy all year round. Soak away those aches and pains. An experience you should not miss, 1 hour / 2 people /30 euros.
To get here, if you are flying in, the nearest airport is Madrid/Barajas. This gives you major options of flying in with most of the major European and American carriers, plus of course the budget airlines. Madrid airport also has most of the major car hire companies. If you don´t wish to rent a car, then we can organise a taxi direct to our house at a resonable rate, or the other option is that you can take the train to Sigüenza, where once again you can take a local taxi. What ever your question, we will try and help.
