Casa Lenta is a well designed villa with very much attention to details. The living/diningroom is very spacious with air conditioning and the ceiling of more than 3 meter high gives it a very special look and feel. There is a well built and good looking fireplace and you can really enjoy colder evenings during wintertime. There is satellite, tv and DVD/CD). There are two double glass doors leading to the south and north terrace and the swimming pool (4m x 8m) from which you have stunning views of the surroundings. Garden furniture is available on all the terraces.
The living room leads to the kitchen with modern conveniences such as dishwasher, shaker, toaster, microwave, grill/oven and washing machine.
There are three good sized bedrooms (two with a double bed and one with two single beds) and two bathrooms. The main bedroom has air conditioning with an adjacent bathroom.
Villa Casa Lenta has a very exciting sunroof which you can reach by stairs from the terrace and from where you have beautiful views of the surroundings. You can even see Malaga from there and the mountains of the Sierra de las Nieves.
In spite of the peaceful setting you can reach Alhaurin el Grande within a 3 minutes drive from the high street. Walking distance to restaurants, bars and nightlife in around 15 minutes. Best thing to do is renting a car at the airport during your stay.
The area is a paradise for nature-lovers and walkers. And if you love to play golf there is a choice out of 30 courses in the area of Andalucia. A few minutes drives from Villa Casa Lenta takes you to Laura Golf and a 10 minutes drive to Alhaurin Golf.
The pool and gardens are maintained by our English managers. The Spanish language is no problem for them so they can really help you further if needed.
If you wish to enjoy the beaches and the seawater you just need a 20 minutes drive. There are a lot of beaches to choose from like that of Marbella, Malaga, Torremolinos etc. If you prefer sightseeings to famous cities in the South of Spain you can reach Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla or Ronda within one to two hours. The trips itself to those cities are already worthwhile! And if you wish to go a step further you can visit Morroco. Ferries leaves Gibraltar regularly. Or take a boat trip and wonder at the whales and dolphins.
But if you just prefer to stay in the area of the villa it is very nice to visit Alhaurin el Grande, a typical whitewashed Spanish market town. It is the result of the various cultures that have gone into the melting pot, since these lands were inhabited way back during the Neolithic Period. You have the old and new quarters with many shops, a market and eating places which vary from tapas bars, cafes and restaurants, all offering excellent food at very good prices. They all keep the tradition of the Andulusian gastronomy high. The landscape around Alhaurin el Grande is extremely varied and the hills are famous for the numerous pine forests. Ideal for those interested in rambling and photography.
And do not forget to visit villages like Mijas, the lakes at El Chorro or the mystic rocks of El Torcal near Antequera.
