Not everyone wants to holiday in a small villa just because there are two of you, and not everyone wants to pay premium price for a villa that will only be partially occupied. Therefore we want to give couples and smaller groups the opportunity to have that luxury holiday, and getting excellent value for money, whilst staying in our beautiful property on the northern end of Lake Vinuela facing Mount Maroma.
Villa Chispas is a luxurious villa set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with a view over Lake Vinuela. We are only a short drive from several villages with their selection of shops that include; supermarkets, bank, chemist, a butcher, plenty of bars and some very good restaurants.
Our villa affords you privacy and relaxation, from its well established garden and gated driveway to the terraces of our private pool where you can absorb the endless hours of sunshine. A shaded dining terrace provides you with the perfect setting in which to sit back, relax and unwind whilst enjoying the stunning views and sunsets. Yet we are only a 20 minute drive from Torre Del Mar with its beaches, bars and restaurants if it’s a livelier atmosphere that you want.
Lake Viñuela is a peaceful holiday destination, approximately 1 hour from Malaga Airport with a choice of activities from country walks to Land Rover Safari’s, wildlife parks to water parks and from fishing to horse riding. This is your opportunity to sample the Spanish way of life in comfort.

Notes spéciales
A feature of the property is the well furnished lounge with two sets of patio-doors opening on to the garden and terrace areas. There is a covered terrace which creates a perfect setting for the outdoor dining which is part of the lifestyle we enjoy here in Southern Spain. There are views from here across Lake Viñuela and the mountains, whose changing colours have to be villa is well decorated and equipped to an equally high standard, and really is a home from home.
Kitchen:
The fully tiled, modern and spacious kitchen is well equipped, with granite topped work surfaces, fridge freezer and integrated dishwasher. There is a built-in electric oven, a microwave, an electric ceramic hob, and pine dining table with six window overlooking the covered terrace has a mosquito screen. There is a door leading to a utility room, housing the washing machine and gas water heater, iron and ironing board.

Bedrooms:
There is a large master bedroom with double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, air-conditioning and mosquito screen. The en-suite has a shower, WC, bidet and hand basin, with vanity unit over.
Bedroom 2, along the hallway (with fitted smoke alarm), has two single beds, a built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinet, air-conditioning and mosquito screen and has access to the family bathroom next door.
Bedroom 3 has two single beds, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinet, air-conditioning and mosquito screen, and is on the other side of the bathroom with a view over the main garden area.

Bathrooms:
Both bathrooms are fully tiled, the en-suite bathroom to master bedroom has a shower cubicle, hand basin with mirror and vanity unit over, bidet and WC. The family bathroom has screened shower over the bath, wash hand basin with mirror and a vanity unit over, bidet and WC.


Outside:
There is a large heated swimming pool, a Mediterranean style garden with flowering shrubs and fruit trees, with ample car parking for several cars.

Other:
There are a selection of books, toys and games for guests use.

Guest services:
A welcome pack will be there for you on arrival. Should you wish to email us your shopping list, this will also be there for you, at cost price plus €25. Holiday itineraries and sight seeing trips can be arranged, and you will be collected from the villa. A trip not to be missed is a stunning Land Rover trip through the mountains then down the spectacular old Granada/Malaga railway.

Other:
Outside there is a walled and fenced garden, numerous pretty shrubs surround the pool and terraces; the pool terrace has sun beds and parasols. There is also a table and chairs on the front terrace for eating outdoors and barbeques.

Cleaning/towels/
linen:
All linen, including bath and pool towels are provided. The property is thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival and according to the length of your stay.

A car would be an advantage, but not essential to fully enjoy your holiday. Baby equipment can be provided at extra cost, i.e. cots, high chair, car seat, sterilizer and changing mat.

The villa is 20 mins drive away from the large beaches of Torre Del Mar.
Locally, we have two very good golf courses; Baviera Golf is approx 25 mins away with, Anoretta golf course approx 30 mins. There is also a full several sets of right-hand clubs available for weekly hire.
The Alhambra Palace is just over an hour away, but we strongly suggest you book your tickets on-line before you arrive as they operate a timed entrance system, and it get extremely busy during the summer.
The playgrounds of Marbella, Puerto Banus, Fuengirola and Torremolinos are just over an hour away.
Sierra Nevada is approx 90 mins away, this is also an excellent place to visit during the summer months as mountain bike hire is available.
Photography, drawing and painting are very popular in the area due to the dramatic views. Fishing can be enjoyed in the nearby Lake Vinuela however a licence will be required. You can also learn to sail and hire sail boats on the lake for very reasonable rates.
Airport transfers can be arranged, the nearest and largest airport is Malaga which is about 45mins drive. Granada airport is now becoming more popular with some bargain flights from the UK. From here it is about 75 mins drive to the Villa and is very easy to find (directions supplied from both airports). Car hire is relatively cheap from both airports so long as you pre-book, however vehicles can be hired locally.

Distances.
The restaurants and shops are just a few minutes drive away, a detailed description of the local restaurants and where to find them is contained within the villa. The nearest shopping centre is Velez-Malaga with lots of shops, supermarkets, designer shops and a large Thursday market. Then there is; Nerja 35 mins, Malaga 45 mins, Granada 1 hour 15 mins, Seville/Cordoba 2 hours and Gibraltar just over 2 hours. There is a very good water park in Torre Del Mar, across from El Ingenio, the large shopping/entertainment centre, here there is an abundance of designer shops, a food court that has menu's from around the world, and a cinema that shows films in English. The children are not forgotten, a trip to Belemadena where you can visit Tivoli World, a theme park, a zoo, a lively marina and a cable car trip up the mountain where you can see Gibraltar and Morocco an a clear day.

Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is payable upon booking, with the remaining balance payable 6 weeks prior to your arrival. A refundable, key/security deposit of £130/€150 to be paid on arrival and returned on the day of departure, subject to a final check.

Prices are for the property per week in £’s sterling, however you can pay in €uros at that days rate of exchange.A Rental Agreement will be emailed to you and bookings will be confirmed on receipt of a non-refundable 25% deposit, with the balance due six weeks before your arrival. There is a 10% discount on the second of two or more weeks outside of the peak season. Rates for Christmas and New Year available on request. The security deposit will be returned to you on completion of an inspection on the day of your departure.

We chose this area of Spain to live for the stunning scenery, for being close to the coast without all of the hassle. A central location for the major cities of Andalucia, Gibraltar in a couple of hours and a major international airport virtually on our doorstep.
