Beautiful old Spanish Catalan farmhouse dating back to the 12th century, national heritage building, in the southernmost hills of the Penedés Spain in the village of Pla de Manlleu. The owners live on the property and work the land, (vines, olive trees, grain and vegatable garden) ecologically The local village of Pla de Manlleu is only an hour a half away from Barcelona, and an hour from Tarragona on the Costa Dorada. The fully equipped and very comfortable holiday farmhouse accommodation of La Manlleva has a wonderful view over the surrounding vineyards and forest and is located in a very pleasant, peaceful and isolated spot in the Penedes wine region.
Located about 60 kilometres south of Barcelona, the Penedes land of wines and diversity of landscapes enjoys a climate second to none, from the sandy beaches of Sant Salvador and Calafell to the highest mountains of Tarragona. La Manlleva is the ideal place for holidays, celebrations or meetings. A place to rest, to work and to have fun. The famous adventure park of Port Aventura is less than an hour away. Plenty of possibilities for excursions on foot, by bicycle or by car. Information and advice is given to guests on all that can be done in the area from castles, dolmens, romanesque churches, museums, medieval villages, rivers and much more. For those who enjoy history there is the famous "Ruta del Cister" the three Cistercian monasteries Santes Creus, Poblet and Vallbona de les Monges.
