A comfortable, 3-bedroom bungalow accommodating up to 7 people on the Bonalba Golf course Development, with panoramic views of the golf course and surrounding countryside from Alicante in the South to the Mediterranean coast in the East. Bonalba is a quiet urbanisation located in the Sierra de Bonalba foothills 15km north of Alicante, a 10-minute drive from the blue flag beaches of San Juan and El Campello, 20 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes from J1 of the A7 motorway providing easy access to the attractions of the Costa Blanca Coast. It is centrally located for those wishing to take advantage of the rock climbing, watersport, walking and cycling routes and areas within the Alicante region.
This family-owned villa has its own paved garden with dining furniture and charcoal bbq and the large swimming pool and play area within Los Balcones is just 50metres away. The air-conditioned villa has contemporary furnishings, fully fitted kitchen and excellent indoor and outdoor accommodation including large covered balcony and rooftop sun terrace. Each bedroom has fully fitted wardrobes. The en-suite bathroom includes both bath and shower, the shower room a large enclosed shower cubicle. There is a TV and DVD player together with a good selection of books and games and shared use of a table tennis table. The pretty garden is fully lit for evening outdoor dining. A car is recommended. The villa is suitable for families and for the elderly with good wheelchair access via the back of the property. For golfers and
cyclists there is a large lock-up cupboard for golf club and bicycle storage. High chair, cot and buggy also available.
The Bonalba complex: the 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course is well maintained and has lovely views. The club has a golf academy with professional instructors, driving range, putting and bunker practice greens. The clubhouse is welcoming and relaxed and the restaurant is excellent-serving anything from coffee and tapas to full lunches. Next to the clubhouse the Spa area has everything to help adults relax and children have fun! The outdoor pool (open during summer months only) is set in tropical gardens with slides, waterfalls, "beach" area and snack bar and separate children's play area. The indoor caves/pool has a Jacuzzi and separate child area and is open all year, as are the gym, steam room and sauna. Health and beauty treatments and a hairdressing salon are also available throughout the year. Two clay tennis courts and a large artificial surface bowling green opened on Bonalba in 2008 together with a golf practice area and pitch and put area. (There is a charge for using all these facilities.)
The commercial centre has 2 small shops-open 7 days a week including fiestas-which provide essentials. There are three cafes open daytime; a pizza take-away and other bars remain open into the evening.
The local area has something to suit every taste- from Benidorm with its fine sandy beaches and water and theme parks to the Roman archaeological sites of El Campello and Lucentum near Alicante. There are miles of blue-flag beaches along the Costa Blanca; hilltop towns and villages; the bustling and cosmopolitan City of Alicante with its restaurants and bars and museums. Alicantes famous tree-lined Esplanade opposite the harbour is probably one of the most appealing in Europe.
ROCK CLIMBING, WALKING, CYCLING AND SPORT - Bonalba is ideally situated as a base for every type of outdoor pursuit. The mountainous terrain of the Alicante Region is well known for excellent rock climbing, walking and cycling with its easy access to both the A7 for travel up the coast and its central position in reaching the large network of sport facilities in the Alicante Region. (Visit the Red de Senderos, Alicante website for a full list of the 130+ walks and the Rockfax website for rock climbing.) It is also an ideal base for keen cyclists who enjoy the challenge of exploring the local sierras. The Bonalba tennis facility opened in 2008, but the local Sports centres in San Juan and Mutxamel have excellent carpet and clay courts for hire at only a few euros an hour. San Juan beach has a windsurfing and watersport school and is a national centre for volley-ball training.
