This OLD SPANISH HAMLET has been lovingly restored and converted for comfortable living. Deep in the heart of the Andalusian countryside but at no distance from picturesque white villages,local shops, restaurants, unpretentious tapas bars - A TASTE of REAL SPAIN.
Relax on a sunlounger by the beautiful tiled pool; sit in the sun or the shade of the ancient carob trees, palms, bamboos and chill. Family or friends can maintain a bit of independence from each other, whilst still being close by.
Cortijo "La Calera" consists of CASA ALGARROBO HOUSE;
Sleeps 9 +
(a single adult sofa bed,a child's single bed and a cot are also available)
and CASITA GORRION; Sleeps 2 and has its own living area,well equipped kitchen and shower room.
HOUSE: 3 double bedrooms, 1 bedroom with 3 single beds.
3 bathrooms (showers rather than baths in this water conscious area)
A well equipped kitchen / diner, a second living area with small kitchen equipped with second oven and hob.
Pretty roof terrace, perfect for viewing the stunning sunsets.
Homely living rooms, space to spend time together or relax alone. Music, books and board games provided.
For friends and family gatherings there is a large ground floor dining terrace seats 12+ which looks out to the pool. It has a built in BBQ and a full sunshade/waterproof canopy. Perfect for al fresco eating or to unwind with a glass of local wine, perhaps.
This terrace has gates from the pool area for the safety of young children.
CASITA GORRION COTTAGE; Ground floor: 1 double bedroom, bathroom, a spacious living / kitchen area with an open wood fire.
It has a private,partly covered terrace with BBQ, table,chairs and sofa.
There are two more outside terrace for guests use.
At quieter times of the year we offer the option of renting the cottage or house only at a reduced price. Please enquire.
The beautiful location affords awesome views of the mountains, unspoilt valleys and olive groves from the whole property, especially from the terraces and swimming pool area.
A spacious terrace of handmade tiles surrounds the HUGE LAGOON SHAPED POOL 12mx5m with underwater lighting and roman steps giving easy access to non - swimmers and children who are happy playing in the pool for hours.
Outside shower. W.C situated in the pool room.
Poolside loungers, tables, chairs, cushions are provided in both sunny and shaded areas, one of which has an enchanting cave, floodlit at night.
The resident owners will respect your privacy but are on hand if you wish help or advice and share their local knowledge if required. They will preshop for you if needed at no extra charge. Welcome packs are provided and the baker calls daily.
We have excellent information folders, restaurant lists, walking routes and maps.
We trust your stay with us will be enhanced by the personal touch often lacking on other holidays.
