Villa San Rafael is situated ten minutes from Rincon de la Victoria, on the road which is the gateway to the Raisin Route of Malaga, known as the Axarquia. Rincon de la Victoria lies on the coast 10 kilometers to the east of Malaga, in the southwest of Axarquia. It has a population of 18,000 increasing to 40,000 in the summer. Originally a fishing village, the increase in size is due to its proximity to Malaga and the airport and to tourism. Its beaches stretch for 9 kilometers.

Villa San Rafael is set in 20,000 sq meters of land upon which are planted olive, almond, avocado, orange,and lemon trees. Not forgetting the most important, grape vines, from which the delicious Malaga sherry is made. Whilst on holiday, you are free to roam around the grounds.

Moclinejo is the nearest village, and we are situated just above Finca el Apañao, chosen by Grand Designs Abroad to feature on their Channel 4 program
(for those of you who may have seen the program, it gives you more of an idea of the area)
You have the best of both worlds staying at Villa San Rafael, having easy access to beach resorts and an extensive list of activities on the coast. Plus inland adventures following the route of the raisin, or heading up to Lake Viñuela.
Villa Rafael is ideal for families, golfers, or for three couples to share It sleeps six people, and has plenty of room for each person to find a quiet corner i.e. down at the BBQ terrace, round the cozy swimming pool, or on one of the terraces.
DESCRIPTION OF THE VILLA AND ITS CONTENTS:-

Fitted kitchen with fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven with grill, plus 4 Gas Hob, microwave, and toaster, Ironing board and Iron, Hairdryer, Kettle, Fans.
Large Farmhouse style open plan kitchen with table for 6-8 people.
Large lounge with bar, coal/wood fireplace, television, music center, comfortable sofa and chairs, panoramic views of sea and countryside, and large terrace.
Bathroom with luxury W.C. and wash basin, large tiled spa type bath equipped with shower head. Large Cupboard space.
Three bedrooms
1) Master with double bed, very large wardrobe with drawers. Bedside tables with lamps. Terrace off the bedroom with panoramic sea views. All furniture and beds brand new.
2) 2nd Bedroom also with double bed, wardrobe with drawers, and bedside tables with lamps.
3) 3rd Bedroom two single beds wardrobe with drawers, and bedside tables with lamps.

Fresh organic eggs, seasonal fruit,vegetables and fresh goats milk can be bought from the farmhouse next door when available. Also their home produced famous Malaga sweet wine (sherry type) is also available.

We had a wonderful holiday at Villa San Rafael with our three young
children. The villa is beautifully presented and furnished, has a balcony with great
views and a fantastic bathroom and kitchen. It has everything we needed. The
pool was great and was just what we needed after a potter about in the
sizzling Spanish sunshine!
The welcome and on-going support from the villas owner Anne was tremendous
and very much appreciated.
The neighbours were very friendly and were great with our children.
The nearest town, Rincon is a lovely place, it has everything you need and a
great weekly market.
A great time was had by all and we will definitely stay there again.

The views out to sea are exceptional!
There are plenty of activities for the whole family: treasure caves, castles,go carts,jeep safaris,Picasso museum, horse racing course, water parks,añoreta golf etc...

We are 3 minutes drive to the village of Moclinejo where you have a couple of convenience stores and the country bakery (you can see the baker making the bread)Open six days a week. (shops in Rincon some open on Sundays) There is a local bar/restaurant in the town square, and pharmacy. If wishing to go a little further to the town of El Borge there is a fantastic Olive Mill which has been converted into a restaurant called El Bandolero (the highwayman) which we highly recommend.

There are 3 or 4 Spanish Ventas (Rural Bars/Restaurants)on the road down to Rincon de la Victoria 5 minutes drive away from the villa.

Rincon de la Victoria has all the major supermarkets i.e. Mercadona,Supersol even has a commercial center with hypermarket, cinema etc..

Some of the best days out at the beach apart from in Rincon de la Victoria, have been in and around Torre del Mar area about 15-20 drive further up the coast. In the summer months in the evenings they have a rastrillo(small market) on the promenade, which is great to have a wander round before or after dinner.

If you carry along the coast you come to Nerja and the caves.( A lovely day out)

All in all, its the ideal place to spend your holidays in comfortable surroundings away from the hustle and bustle of the coast, but near enough to have access to it when you wish.

Basically all the ingredients for a really fantastic holiday, the rest is up to you!

Prices are per week commencing on Saturdays(flexible please ask) at 16.00 and Departing on Saturdays 11.00 We require a refundable security deposit of 150 euros on each reservation which will be refunded once the property has been checked, subject to reductions for breakages or damage. If you cancel your holiday this amount is not refundable. 6 weeks prior to your holiday the total amount of the rental fee has to be paid, preferably by bank transfer. A receipt will be issued and sent by either post or e-mail. Should you have to cancel your holiday 6 weeks or less after this payment has been made you will unfortunately loose the whole rental amount. (Unless we get a last minute booking to fill the vacancy)Please enquire for prices if you need and extra bed.
