La Zurita is a completely secluded mature, self-contained detached Rustic Andalucian Villa, which is Air Conditioned and Heated. It is set in beautifully manicured gardens with 2 acres of fruit orchards, consisting of orange, lemon, plum, fig, avocado and banana and a few more! You approach the villa through private gates leading to a graveled parking area. Your first view is of the garden and pool, which is surrounded by grass, Bougainvillea, Palm and Olive Trees and other colourful, exotic trees and shrubs. There is a covered seating area and a table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy your breakfast or BBQ your evening meal, as you look over the swimming pool, to the beautiful garden beyond.
Inside is a large lounge with TV, SKY, Video, DVD. It is furnished with large comfortable sofas, a coffee table and some interesting books - if you fancy a read. If you prefer to eat inside, the dining room has a table and chairs to seat 6. Both rooms are independently air-conditioned.
Leading off the dining area to the double bedroom, you pass through the dressing area with a chest of drawers containing a hairdryer, plus ample wardrobes. The double bedroom has a king sized bed, bedside cabinets and air conditioning. To the other side of the dressing area is the en-suite shower room, with a corner shower, wash hand basin, bidet and toilet.
All bed linen is provided, plus towels for the bathrooms. Please bring your own pool towels.
From the dining area you pass into a lobby and enter into the second bathroom. It has twin wash hand basins, with cupboards underneath, a bath with shower overhead ,and a bidet and toilet. Also from the lobby is the twin bedroom with 2 single beds with a bedside cabinet between, a chest of drawers and plenty of wardrobe space.
The very well- equipped kitchen contains a fridge freezer, electric hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, cutlery, dishes, glasses, saucepans and tea towels. There is a constant supply of hot water. Also available are an iron and ironing board and washing machine on request.
There are chairs, table and a Gas BBQ outside on the patio which overlooks the gardens and the 10m by 5m swimming pool. This is for the sole use of the occupants of La Zurita. The pool is surrounded by sun beds and parasols for the use of guests. The charming inside courtyard has stairs that lead up to a panoramic roof terrace, which with our dark rural skies, makes it an ideal spot for star gazing.
La Zurita is set in the countryside, 5 km from the towns of Alhaurin el Grande, Cartama and Cóin and it is therefore essential that you have a car. The accommodation, gardens and pool are only a short distance by car to the mountains of Sierra las Nieves, Sierra de Banos and Sierra de Agua. The latter two form the southern boundary of the El Chorro Lakes. These are delightful to visit and if you wish you can hire pedaloes and dive from them into the turquoise water of the lake.
Marbella, Fuengirola, Mijas and Malaga are all a short distance away, and the white villages of Alozaina, Casarabonela and Alora are also close by
La Zurita can be rented from Saturday to Saturday.
