ACCOMMODATION:
This large corner first floor apartment accommodates 6 people. Served by a lift and stairs from its own parking space, in a secure complex, with a communal swimming pool.

3 bedrooms each with sea or marina view: one double, with an en-suite bathroom, one twin, one optional twin/double and a family bathroom.

A wide hatchway, from the well-equipped kitchen into the dining area, makes for an easy life. The utility room provides for clothes washing, drying and wine storage!

The lounge/diner opens onto the vast terrace that has north and south aspects - best of both worlds - sun and shade!

The terrace with its palms and olive tree overlooks the marina, the main aspect faces the local village of Punto del Moral; looking the other way, you can see the sea just 100 metres away. In the evening as the sun sets, you can sip cool Sangria, wait for supper to cook on the B-B-Q and watch the local fishing boats come home with their catch.

We do offer mid-week bookings to enable you to benefit from one of the cheap flights out of the UK. There are 3 airport options; Faro, Seville or Jerez, the best one for you depends on your UK departure airport, and driving preferences when you arrive in Portugal or Spain.

ASPECT:
The apartment is on the marina boulevard, a stone's throw from the bustling harbour. Here you can find

- local tour operators offering day trips, boat rides, boat hire

GOLF:
There are more choices of golf courses than days to play them, from the local 18 hole course and driving range at Isla Canela (4km) to the excellent Villamoura, just an hour away in Portugal. We can recommend courses to suit both pocket and ability either in Spain or Portugal. We can also arrange for you to book tee times and buggies at discounted prices.

OTHER THINGS TO DO:
Try the favourite local pastime of paddle tennis; the open-air courts are just over the road, as is the new sports centre with traditional tennis courts too. Enjoy a splash with boat trips out to sea or up the river. If these do not appeal, then there is crown green bowling, at Isla Canela golf course; swimming of course; or you can enjoy a walk along the beach.

The surrounding area is well known for its ornithological bird life, this area is a natural wildlife haven with its marshland and sea birds.

If fishing is your thing, sea bass and dorada, can be caught from the Isla Canela beach at the mouth of the Guadiana river. Bait can be purchased locally but you will need to bring your own rods and reels.

Other local options are a stroll to the village of Punta del Moral, where a pharmacy and a spanish supermarket nestle in amongst numerous restaurants serving excellent food, including freshly caught fish.

The fabulous gently shelving beach on the Atlantic Ocean, has 7km of sand, is safe and the water is warm enough to swim in from May to October.

5km away is Ayamonte, a typical Andalucian town. Park by the harbour, stroll through the narrow streets to find some of the best restaurants in the region. Traditional markets, cafes, and tapas bars are all open for long hours each day. You can take the ferry to Villa Real de San Antonio in Portugal, have lunch there, returning in time for the shops and bars to open again in Ayamonte.

Several nearby hotels offer internet access, pool tables, restaurants and evening entertainment, with live bands.

For the explorer there is plenty to do and see, the apartment has numerous books and maps of places such as Seville and further afield in Andalucia.

Plenty of glasses, crockery and cutlery, you are on holiday, we do not expect you to be constantly washing-up!

The rest of the apartment: Fans for the hot days, heaters for the cool ones; TV with some SKY, BBC TV, including children’s channels and BBC radio. Two music centres with various CDs, DVD player a few DVDs, also books, jigsaws, cards, games etc. Patio furniture includes loungers, reclining chairs, tables, and you will find beach mats, parasol and sun/wind-break, but bring your own beach towels please.
