The Andalusian home of a well known Rutland artist Finca Quixote nestles on the side of a south facing hill with breathtaking views across the mountains to the Mediterranean and beyond. Eagles and other birds of prey from the adjacent natural park soar overhead. The outside terraces, courtyard and pool offer seclusion and privacy. Yet the white village of Competa, with its rich history, 500 year old church, pavement cafes, restaurants and quaint shops is only 5 minutes away.

The area is a walkers' paradise with extensive and well signposted walking trails. Alternatively the beaches of the Mediterranean are a 15 minute drive away; historical Granada with the world heritage site Alhambra less than an hour; Malaga, with its extensive shops and nightlife is even closer.

Finca Quixote is a beautiful traditionally styled home with all modern comforts and conveniences, easily accessible and 50 minutes from Malaga airport.

The house is approached along its tree lined drive and through a private walled courtyard, with fountain and outdoor dining furniture. From the well equipped lounge with its high beamed ceiling french doors open on to a terrace with stunning mountain and Mediterranean views.

Equipment in the living areas include, satellite TV, DVD and CD/radio, There is computer access plus WIFI with an international phone service.

Off the lounge is a formal dining area which comfortably seats six. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, 2 fridges, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. It comes with all the equipment you might need to conjure up those culinary masterpieces.

The double master bedroom has its own ensuite. The other twin rooms have easy access to the family bathroom.

All rooms come equipped with fans and heaters for those cooler spring and autumn evenings. A powerful wood burning stove can keep the house as warm as toast on the coldest winter evening.

The outdoor dining terrace comes equipped with gas barbecue, shaded six seat dining table and separate drinks area. The pool terrace has plenty of loungers. Steps and paths lead through the garden, past a range of fruit trees and to a high level terrace, overlooking the courtyard from where often spectacular sunsets and stunning views of the night sky can be viewed.
