Cottage de vacances à Guaro

A traditional Andalusian cottage built as a holiday home for us in 1993 has all the ingredients you need to relax, unwind and chill out away from it all. A beautiful, get-away-from-it all location - this is the Real Spain!

Casa Rosa nestles above the quiet 'white' pueblo of Guaro, with fantastic panoramic views of the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park with, in the distance, the villages of Yunquera and Alozaina, and below us the verdant Rio Grande valley. The countryside is full of olive, almond and citrus groves, weaving a tapestry of colours that subtly change throughout the year.

The house is named after the beautiful roses in the gardens which are surrounded by the natural beauty of wild mountain thyme, rosemary and chamomile.

Comfortable accommodation with spacious lounge/dining room/kitchen, two good size bedrooms, one with double bed (160cm), and the second with two singles (90cm), bath/shower. There is a galleried area with a single bed (90cms) for daydreaming or one extra person. The high beamed ceilings throughout give an airy feel to the Casita, and mean it’s also lovely and cool in the heat of the day. There is a covered patio with spectacular views where you can eat outside even when the sun is at its height and a further terrace by the pool with stunning views across the Natural Park of the Sierra de las Nieves.

A real get-away-from-it-all experience, but if you prefer some action there’s plenty to do: walking/hiking, mountain- biking, bird-watching, horse-riding. Guaro has many local festivals, the most famous being the ‘Luna Mora’ in September . All amenities are available in Guaro with the larger town of Coin (10mins drive) and Marbella (20mins drive) offering more varied shopping and entertainment, and many other ‘white’ pueblos to investigate close by: Tolox, Ronda, Yunquera, Alozaina. Further afield Tarifa, Jerez, Cadiz, Seville, Cordoba, and Granada make a great day trip of around 2 hours drive.

UK and Spanish television channels are provided for those who like to keep in touch with the world plus CD and DVD players. Many guests however, never leave the terrace, as it is so relaxing taking in the view, sharing a ‘sun-downer’ with the swallows around the pool at dusk!

We built this cottage in 1995, choosing this area because we were blown away by the scenery and the beauty of the area - we still are! We sincerely want our guests to enjoy our house and the area as much as we do, and are therefore very willing to give advice/information on any aspect of the house/area, either before, or after booking your holiday at Casa Rosa.
