Villa La Calma is a restored country Villa near the Catalan coastline. It has a large covered terrace with beautiful patio furniture, modern kitchen, three bedrooms plus a large sofa bed in the lounge. It has two terraces with seaviews, a private pool and well maintained gardens. Importantly for Spain, it has generous parking at the rear of the villa out of the hot midday sun. This villa is perfect for a get away holiday with the family or friends as it sleeping capacity for up to eight guests and the grounds and terraces offer space to relax, sunbathe, read a book, swim in the pool or go for a walk. It is close to the L'Ampolla, a quaint fishing village which is famous for its sea-food restaurants as well its concerts and festivals. L'Ampolla also has four supermarkets, pharmacy and a host of little cafes dotted around the harbour and lovely maritime boardwalk. The Villa is also just 5 kilometres from the most famous sandy each in the area called Cap Roig which is perfect for a day excursion (see photos). The Villa is is also close to Tarragona, originally a Roman settlement which has become a large cosmopolitan city with great shopping possibilities, concerts, museums and even has an old Roman amphitheater as a momento of its past. There is also Tortosa, a large medieval town just twenty minutes by car and this makes for a great destination for a day excursion, with its old market, chic cafes, park and river Ebro promenade. And for those who likes theme parks, Villa La Calmais just 30 minutes from the world famous Portaventura theme park or Aquapolis water theme park with its spectacular dolphin show! Andfor nature lovers, there are many walks and bicycle routes through the immediate landscape. And you are also just 4 kilometres from Les Oliveres 4 star hotel and spa resort where you can rent tennis courts, use the internet cafe with open access wifi and the spa. You will find an information pack on your arrival in which you will find a discount voucher for all the different massage and beauty treatments available. And we cannot forget the delta, one of the biggest rice producing areas in Europe and a Natural park protected by Unesco. Here you can take glass bottom boat trips up the Ebro river, visit the lagoons to see the pink splendor of the flamingoes, and order paella for lunch, the famous rice dish of this area (see photos). And the nice thing is, after a long day of being out and about in the sunshine, you can return to your country villa in the evening, fire up the barbecue, and have a cool glass of wine as the steaks sizzle.
