The newly developed urbanisation is situated within a few minutes walk to the local beach and has supermarkets, bars, restaurants, golf and leisure facilities and good bus links to the other towns and urbanisations along this stretch of coastline.

Plus de vidéos sur l'Espagne The urbanisation boasts several small stores, restaurants, bars, an internet cafe, golf and a health club, all within walking distance to the urbanisations apartments and villas. The shops are opposite a very peaceful and popular park (Princess Diana Park) and gardens and there is Opencor supermarket next to the entrance to Riviera, which is open 18 hours per day.
Apart from several small shops, there are two commercial centres: Riviera Plaza and Riviera Comercial, with further restaurants, a chemist, gifts and souvenirs shop, and much more.
Places to visitThe upmarket resort of Marbella is a 15 minute drive away, as is the 200 store shopping and leisure centre of La Canada. Fuengirola is just a 10 minute drive away, with heaps of facilities, great beaches, a zoo, the Mijas Aqua Park, multi-screen cinemas and the Parque Miramar Shopping Centre.
The Crocodile Park at Torremolinos is a 20 minute drive away and the port at Benalmadena is also worth a visit.
BeachesThe beach at Riviera del Sol is usually less crowded and has its own chiringuito (beach restaurant) where they serve food and drinks all day.
GolfThere are numerous golf courses within 20 minutes drive, including the Miraflores Golf Club, in the urbanisation of Miraflores, which is situated next to Riviera del Sol. Calahonda and Cabopino courses are also close by, as is the Mijas Golf Complex.
ClimateRiviera del Sol enjoys a sub-tropical Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and warm winters. Cooling breezes from the sea make the summer heat manageable, temperatures are an average of 32 ºC in summer.
