HistoryThe Abla derives from its Roman occupation, and as with the rest of the region, it formed a part of the Moorish conflicts and occupation.
About townAbla is a typical Moorish style village with white terrace houses, narrow cobbled streets, and stunning views. The town is set at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Its narrow winding streets, lined with whitewashed terrace houses, are a delight to explore.
The town has basic amenities of a supermarket, shops, a covered market, bars and restaurants.
Cultural attractions include the Iglesia de la Anunciación (Church) and the Roman Mausoleum.
