Peniscola Villa is situated on the Costa del Azahar in a tranquil setting 1km from the beautiful Medieval town of Peniscola. Located in the Edison Residence, Peniscola Villa is surrounded by numerous coves and beaches with the Sierra d'Irta mountais as a backdrop. Costa del Azahar means Orange-blossom Coast, which explains why it is such a great place for walking among the olive trees and orange blossom while taking in views of the mediterranean sea and the sun which happens to shine year round. The Villa can sleep up to 9 people and has 3 bedrooms with 2 double beds, 3 single beds and a pull out settee. It also has 2 bathrooms a living room, sitting room, kitchen, terrace, garden, solarium and a private basement. The pool has a toddler pool adjacent which overlooks the mediterranean. There is also the option to enjoy the coved beach opposite the villa situated less than 100 metres away.
Walks and Treks:
Discover amazing views of the coastline and landscape of the Costa del Azahar. There are numerous walking trails to discover, one which leads Alcosebre and passes stone towers and beautiful sandy coves. Another walk for the more active is a 10Km walk from Peniscola to Benicarlo along the promenade. This is a great place to explore historical points of interest including stone towers, a restored hermitage, sandy trails, the surrounding hills and mountains.
Festivals are a regular feature throughout the year and take place in Peniscola and surrounding villages at different times, some festivals really are a feast for the eye. Up to date information on festivals can be found at the local tourist office.
Peniscola itself is a quaint picturesque town with plenty of charm and bars and cafes serving delicious tapas, all along the promenade. The Castle is a beautiful landmark with cobbled streets and windy hillside walkways. Peniscola also hosts a large market every Monday.
Activities:
Local activities include Golf, the Golf and County Club is only 20 minutes drive and is open all year round. There is a Go-Karting track just outside the town and other activities include, Quad Biking, Horse Riding, Sea Kayaking, Mountain Walks, Snorkelling and Parasailing.
This is a haven for explorers as it is located alongside Sierra Irta National park, with a combination of mountains, coves, beaches and cliff summits of considerable height, nature trails and hillside walks to discover at your leisure. Local cuisine includes mouth-watering seafood and tapas. Costa del Azahar offers year-round sunshine and is considered the most authentic version of the Spanish Mediterranean. Inland there are many beautiful towns one of which is Morella. Other fantastic locations nearby are The Delta del Ebre, Fortaventura and Oceangraghia - the largest aquarium in Europe.
