The apartment is located in the beautiful Mijas Pueblo, in a quiet area but at the same time only 5 minutes walk to town. Mijas Hills is a small urbanisation with only 11 apartments. Our apartment is on the ground floor in the middle of the block, has a large terrace and feels more like a town house.
The apartment is modern and very spacious; it has 3 bedrooms, two double bedrooms and one with two single beds. There are 2 full bathrooms and a small laundry room. The living/dining room is spacious and the kitchen is fully fitted and equipped. All floors are marble. The large terrace is surrounded by beautiful gardens and lots of lovely flowers with a wonderful view to the Mediterranean sea over Los Boliches, Fuengirola and the communal swimming pool. There are sun lounges and outdoor furniture to make the outdoor living comfortable. All windows are secured with bars or shutters.
The apartment has all the modern facilities, TV including satellite, DVD/Blu Ray, fans, heaters etc and while the living room has air conditioning for heating and cooling, there is also an effective fireplace. The modern kitchen has all the necessary electrical appliances to make life easy such as oven, ceramic cook top, microwave and so on.
It is very close to local restaurants, super markets, shops, other white towns and lots of places of interest. You will find folders and maps with all the important information in the apartment to guide you in your stay. Of particular note however are RONDA, GIBRALTAR, SEVILLE, MALAGA City and further afield, NERJA, GRANADA and the ALPUJARRAS.
Mijas Pueblo is located only 20 minutes drive from MALAGA International airport and has very good transport facilities. There are busses to Fuengirola (15 minutes down the road), and from there you can catch trains and buses to Marbella, Malaga, Seville, Ronda, Madrid, etc.
You donï¿½t actually need a car to have a great holiday in MIJAS. Note that there is no parking within the secured area of the urbanisation, public parking is available 50 metres along the street.
There are excellent supermarkets very close by,Lidl, Euromarket, Mercadona, Eroski, Carrefour and very good shopping centres like Corte Ingles in Fuengirola and Puerto Banus, La Canada in Marbella. La Canada is quite big with lots of shops, restaurants, tapas bars, cinemas, and a gigantic Eroski supermarket. Plaza Mayor near the airport is another lovely shopping centre, with restaurants, cinemas, etc. It is accessed via the Parador de Golf exit from the freeway. Also in Fuengirola is the Miramar shopping complex which has several cinemas, some of which show movies in English. Las Lagunas Theatre has wonderful and cheap stage productions and there are many cultural centres in Malaga as well as wonderful Museums. Picasso was born there so there are several sites dedicated to him. The Romans built a wonderful amphitheatre there and the Moorish influence is everywhere. The Cathedral is massive. The renovated port area is excellent with many new restaurants and shops.
Mijas is very centrally located to visit and discover the Costa Del Sol, you can also cross to Morocco from Algeciras or drive to Cadiz, Rota,Jerez Gibraltar and the Algarve coast of Portugal.
A ten Percent (10%) holding deposit is required at time of booking with the balance payable one month before occupancy.
