Located in the Marina Del Mar community of La Marina Urbanization, only 3 km from the white sand beaches of the Costa Blanca, this is the ideal location for your Spanish holiday. Included with rental is the use of two gated pools complete with lounge chairs and changing rooms. Averaging 320 days of sun each year, with an annual average temperate of 20 C, makes La Marina the ideal getaway any time of the year.
This modern upper duplex, with large private solarium, will accommodate a family of 5. It has two full size bedrooms with built in wardrobes and a double bed, dresser, ceiling fan, t.v. (satellite connection in the master) and dvd player. Fresh linens are provided.
The living area comes with a full size sofa and loveseat and includes a 32" flat screen t.v. with a VCR/DVD player and satellite television with both English and Spanish channels.
The separate kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, hob, microwave, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. and includes a washing machine.
The bathroom has a full size bathtub, shower, wash basin, medicine cabinet and bidet. Fresh towels and a hair dryer included.
To make the most of the Mediterranean sun, there is a balcony as well as a large, private rooftop solarium. Both the balcony and solarium are equipped with a table and chairs with sun umbrellas. In addition, on the solarium, you will find lounge chairs and a hammock - perfect for soaking up the Spanish sun.
A car is not essential as you can find everything you need for a relaxing vacation within walking distance in the urbanization, but a car is recommended as there are many exciting things to do and see all along the Costa Blanca and surrounding area.
There is a beautiful blue flag sandy beach only a short drive (or long walk) from the townhouse where you will find restaurants, tapas bars, a childrens play area, water activities (in season) and free parking. La Marina beach backs onto a lovely pine forest with picnic areas. The beach has lifeguards in the summer months and a bus runs frequently from the urbanization directly to La Marina beach (varies by season).
There is a weekly market on Thursdays and Sundays in La Marina, with the Thursday market being the larger of the two. If these days are not convenient for you, there are markets in many of the surrounding villages and communities as well - at least one every day of the week.
There are a good selection of golf courses in the surrounding area including Rojales, which is only 10 minutes away, and Campoamor, Las Ramblas and Villamartin, which are all 20 minutes away.
The urbanization has a wide range of facilities including shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants (Spanish, Italian, Indian, Chinese), bars, ice cream parlors, bakeries, banks, snooker club, Internet cafes, police station, Tourist information office etc. all within walking distance (or a short drive).
There are many wonderful things to do and see in the area surrounding La Marina. In nearby Santa Pola is Pola Park, a play/activity park for children of all ages. In Elche, often called "The City of Palms" you will find a Safari park and horse riding activities. Alicante boasts an old castle high up on a hill providing incredible views of the beach, sea, marina and seaside promenade. A bit further away in Benidorn you will find even more adventures at the Terra Mitica theme park, Mundamar sealife park and Aqualandia water park. And these are only a few of the sites you will find nearby the quiet, but vibrant, urbanization of La Marina.

If you are taking a taxi make sure they know you are going to La Marina Urbanization (not the village) and that the property is in Marina del Mar phase 1.
If you are driving from Alicante airport, follow the signs staying on N-332 south (Do not turn onto N-332a when you have that option, this will take you into the village) until you come to a round-about directing you to the Urbanization (you will have the option of staying on N-332, going to the beach or going to the Urbanization). You will pass a gas station on your left as you are getting near the urbanization. Once you are in the urb., watch the street signs (all to the left). The street just before you want to turn left is called Seville. You want to take the NEXT STREET, Bilbao (the street sign is hard to see before you turn, but on your right you will see a blue post with three signs on it - the top sign is for "smart properties"). Take Bilbao Street and follow it around (don't worry if you see a road sign saying "carretera del Bosque" - it changes names). When you go around a major curve in the road and there are no longer any houses to your left, you should see a row of townhouses more-or-less straight ahead of you. The property is located in that first row of houses. Turn right and look for #18. It is on a steep incline so you may want to turn around so you are parked going down the hill.
