Casa Lavender, is well situated for everything, be it rugged mountains, surfing beaches or cosmopolitan cities, we are well positioned for all three!
Casa Lavender, has both a one bedroom apartment especially for couples or a spacious two bedroom apartment, which offers exceptional value, self catering holiday accommodation for up to four people. Located on Spain’s northern coast, named the Costa Verde, in the principality of Asturias we are set in the hamlet of San Pedro de Ambas, a stones throw from a world heritage site of the Monastery of San Salvador de Valdedios.
Casa Lavender's two bedroom apartment is wheelchair friendly. The accommodation is on the ground floor and has been designed for ease of movement both within the apartment (which has extra wide doorways) and outside in the garden with its spectacular views across the valley and towards the estuary at Villaviciosa.
Casa Lavender is a lovingly restored apartment adjoining a typical asturian cider house. It is set within the beautiful yet largely undiscovered province of Asturias on the northern coast of Spain where wild mountains spectacularly meet the Atlantic Ocean. You can be sure of a warm welcome and a very comfortable base from which to explore and enjoy your holiday. We are accessible from Asturias and Santander Airports and both the seaports of Santander and Bilbao. Visit soon to discover for yourself our celtic links, fabulous seafood, time honoured cider making and craft traditions not to mention the breathtaking scenery and beaches, coves and sea caves. Plus of course the friendly and welcoming spirit of the asturian people.
Asturias is on Spain’s northern Atlantic coast in between France and Portugal called the "Costa Verde". It is a largely unknown area of Spain to the outsider but is regularly visited by the wealthy people of Madrid who in many cases, have their holiday homes here. It is a mountainous region with the Picos de Europa at its heart, still the home to wild bears and wolves. The mountains hold snow in some years from November through to May.
We are set at the 8km mark on the A267 (formerly A113) in the hamlet of San Pedro de Ambas, a stones throw from a world heritage site of the Monastery at San Salvador de Valdedios. Directly behind the property runs the famous Camino de Santiago, still walked today by pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela on the far western coast of Galicia, the final resting place of Saint James.
